I fix problems.
I helped a 7-person Scrum team deliver projects smoothly by streamlining workflows and reviewing a bunch of pull requests, getting some major features out within a few months. I built a Git hook and .NET tool to make code reviews and deployments a bit quicker across several teams. I also set up some unit testing guidelines and shared SOLID principles with a few teams, making tests more consistent. Plus, I worked on onboarding and recruitment, including interviews and tech test reviews, and helped bring on some new engineers.
I tweaked .NET Core backend systems by adjusting data structures across a bunch of API calls, which made things run a bit faster. I also teamed up with others to refine our development workflows, making cycles a little shorter.
I sorted out some Azure CI/CD pipeline hiccups with better configurations, cutting down on deployment issues. I wrote a good number of unit tests for .NET systems to keep things reliable and built a Java backend service for Android devices using Extreme Programming, supporting a few major British railway providers. I also helped put together an internal company portal with AWS Lambdas, .NET API, and Svelte frontend.
I added Azure AD authentication to a SaaS app for a large user base to keep it secure. I built a .NET API connector for third-party integration with several clients, making workflows smoother. I created some migration tools to speed up database moves and wrote a bunch of unit tests for a .NET API to ensure reliability.
I chipped in on feature development for a .NET Core app, which helped improve user satisfaction. I also helped out with unit tests, boosting coverage and code reliability.
I worked with stakeholders to build a workflow management system for the Forensic Recovery Unit, making admin tasks easier and quicker. I designed a WPF .NET app with a SQLite database using Extreme Programming, automating data entry for a bunch of tasks monthly. I even got the Student of the Year award for helping out with the police departmentβs efficiency.
Light rant and some other thoughts on this wonderful game. It is going to stay with me for a longer while I think.
